Survivor Justice New York

An independent expenditure committee of survivors and advocates calling on New York State to hold its own prison system to the same standard it demands of everyone else.

More than 1,500 women have filed lawsuits alleging they were sexually abused by guards in New York State prisons.

Nearly three years on, the State is asking a court to dismiss their cases, while the Attorney General investigates Cornell University over one alleged assault.

Abuse by state prison guards is as appalling as abuse by fraternity members.

These women have waited long enough.
